Industry and B2B manufacturing

A supplier listing, before and after.

People looking for an industrial supplier often ask an AI assistant who makes a component and with which certifications. TrustInsider takes a typical sector listing and shows you how the answer changes when that listing is aligned with your facts.

What changes

Certifications with the issuing body and the expiry date

A wrongly attributed certification, or one that has expired and is still cited, changes the supplier shortlist. Buyers check it, and a wrong answer erodes trust before the first contact.

The fix is a list of certifications with the body that issues them, the number and the expiry date, identical on the website and on portals. AI accuracy compares the answer’s sentence with this list and tells you which listing the wrong one comes from.

The expired certification that stays on portals

What to avoid: an expired certification keeps being cited because a portal hasn’t updated it. What to do: a list with body, number and expiry, identical on website and portals, reviewed at every renewal.

The technical pages

How a readable technical sheet is measured

A technical sheet useful to an assistant has clear criteria: it’s accessible to crawlers, has a structure, structured data, text in the HTML and approved facts, and it’s recent.

The glimpse shows how the content score is calculated in the site audit, on a demo brand: each criterion has a declared weight, and a criterion the data don’t allow to assess drops out of the denominator instead of counting as zero. For an industrial company the pages to measure first are technical sheets, certifications and processes, that is, the ones that answer whoever is selecting a supplier.

Export markets

Absent in the buyers’ languages

A company exporting to Germany or Spain can be well described in Italian and not appear at all in answers in German or Spanish. The panel is built by language and by country.

Foreign buyers’ questions use their own technical vocabulary, and the sources are the trade fairs and portals of their market. Carefully translated listings, not machine translations, and a presence in foreign trade fair catalogues give the answer something to cite in that language.

The same supplier search in three markets

A sample search for a supplier of mechanical components, made in three languages, with the source that carries weight in that market and what’s needed to appear.

The next cycle

What the answer says after alignment

Once the listing is aligned, the same questions are repeated at the next cycle. The answer reports the right processes, the certifications in force and, if the translated listings have been read, it also appears in the other languages.

The comparison is valid only between cycles with the same questions, and the platform states this. A corrected listing doesn’t change the answer the next day: the source needs to be read again, and bot reads on the updated pages tell you when that happens.

From the aligned listing to the next cycle’s answer

Four sample steps: the company aligns profile and pages, the bots reread the pages, the panel repeats the same questions, the answer reports the updated facts.

  1. The company aligns

Portal profile, processes page and certifications.

  2. The bots reread

The updated pages show as read after the change.

  3. The panel repeats

The same questions, in the same languages, at the next cycle.

  4. The answer changes

Processes and certifications are the ones in force.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about AI visibility for manufacturing companies

Which listings count, how to correct certifications and capacity, how to appear in foreign markets and how long it takes to see the answer change.

Which sources do assistants use to describe an industrial company?

Catalogues, trade fair directories, supplier portals, the technical press and the company’s website. The platform shows which ones appear next to your name and with what statements.

How do you correct a wrongly attributed certification?

With a list of certifications with body, number and expiry, identical on website and portals, and by flagging the listings that report the wrong information.

How do you appear in answers in another language?

With listings carefully translated into the market’s technical vocabulary and a presence in that country’s sources, measured by a panel in the same language.

How long before the answer reports the corrected listing?

It depends on when the source is reread: bot reads on the updated pages tell you, and the comparison is made at the next cycle on the same questions.
