The topic to investigate

  1. Example question

After the headphones launch, which issues do the press and customers report?

  2. What you read

The detail view distinguishes a personal account from an original article and a reprint of the same story. Available sources help trace its origin and updates.

  3. The next step

Open the sources for the topic, check the issue and assign a task with an owner to the team.

Volume alone does not measure reputation or trust. Original articles and reprints of the same story must be distinguished before comparison.

What you get

Follow the story’s journey.

Trace a story’s origin and subsequent republications. Open sources to check whether they report the same fact, an update or a different interpretation, then choose what to clarify.

  2. Reprint of the story
  3. Comment or interpretation

What you get

Prepare documented responses.

Bring verified facts, open questions and owners into a plan. The assistant can help prepare it when enabled; press coverage requires an authorised provider and external communications remain subject to approval.

Origin and spreadDistinguish the initial article, reprints and new facts; retain the source and timeline.Avoid treating many republications as the same number of independent experiences.
Open questionsIdentify which statements are documented and which require confirmation from product, support or other responsible teams.Prepare a relevant response and assign checks before approval.
Material to shareCheck that licences and permissions cover the intended excerpts, recipients and export.Choose usable references for the briefing; access to a source does not authorise every form of reproduction.

Press and AI visibility

The story continues in the answers.

An article may be republished by other outlets, discussed in a forum and cited by an AI assistant. Connecting these steps helps PR teams understand which information remains visible to people searching for your brand.

The analysis follows available references: URLs, dates, citations and context. The same story appearing across several channels does not, by itself, show how it spread. Sources without accessible text retain that limitation; a headline or excerpt is not presented as a full reading. Live press monitoring requires appropriate coverage and rights from the press provider.

Priorities and responsibilities

First the facts. Then the response.

An issue calls for a shared understanding: what happened, what is documented and who can confirm it. A useful briefing supports decisions without confusing urgency, frequency and severity.

The briefing organises open questions, sources and internal contacts. The AI Reputation Manager can assist with preparing the proposal, while verification, approval and sending remain separate steps. Repeated criticism does not automatically become true or false; your brand’s own statements should be assessed alongside independent evidence.

After the action

Follow what changes.

A published correction, a new source and an updated AI answer are different outcomes. Observing them separately helps identify which part of the process still needs attention.

The check can establish whether the article has been updated, whether the change appears on your brand’s pages and whether the subsequent AI sample still contains the previous statement. Period, question and model accompany the interpretation. Changing your website content does not directly change engine answers or guarantee the removal of information from external sources.
