All guides
Is your brand missing, is an answer inaccurate, or is a competitor recommended instead? Choose the right guide: find what to check, an example and the steps for turning the result into content work.
What you get
To distinguish a mention from a cited source, start with the guide to AI mentions and citations. To understand what a review expresses, choose the sentiment guide. If you need to assess completed work, open the measurement guide: the question and required data change with the objective.
What you get
Prepare the material before applying a guide. For an AI answer, keep the question, text, model, date and any exposed sources; for an issue, gather the relevant content and its timeline. For a before-and-after comparison, document the intervention and check that the two periods are compatible.
Reading paths
The guides organise work around recognisable problems: a rarely cited brand, an inaccurate description, a service issue or an action to assess. Each path identifies the evidence that makes the analysis useful.
For AI answers, retain questions, engine and method. For conversations, you need relevant sources, a period and inclusion rules. Comparing before and after requires knowing what changed in collection. Choose the guide according to the problem, not the easiest data to obtain.
| Objective | Relevant guides | First check |
|---|---|---|
| Understand how assistants present your brand | AI visibility, citations and sampling | Answer origin and panel conditions. |
| Interpret public perception | Reputation and trust, sentiment, share of voice | Relevance and coverage of observed conversations. |
| Identify an experience problem | Product feedback and responding to issues | Topic recurrence and the context of accounts. |
| Assess a change | Impact measurement and false signals | Comparability of periods and evidence of the action. |
From reading to application
Apply the guide to a real customer question. Open a relevant answer or mention, check the original content and note what needs clarification: compatibility, a returns condition or a difference from competitors.
Define a specific change with the team and keep the initial observation. After updating the content in your own tools, repeat the check. If the answer is still incomplete, you have a precise issue to investigate instead of rewriting the website without a clear reason.
Check which sources, languages and periods the example covers.
Connect the conclusion to material actually available.
Choose a check or action with clear responsibilities and timing.
A common method
The guides share the methodology’s definitions: sample, coverage, evidence and comparison retain the same meaning across different workflows.
SEO, GEO and listening can inform the same decision but require separate measures. An updated page may be clearer without yet being cited by an AI engine. A more favourable conversation alone does not demonstrate that an action worked. Follow-up should make progress and uncertainty equally clear.
