Import, approve and export a product catalogue

Check the catalogue’s origin and contents before approving it. Import prepares brand data; downloading an export does not automatically publish to a store or Merchant Center.

Section 1

Prepare the file and its provenance

The catalogue accepts the offered formats and keeps a source reference, so every product can be traced back to its origin. Prices, availability and attributes must describe actual products.

Editing the file or provenance clears previous previews and confirmations. Do not replace missing data with an assumed quantity or price.

  1. Open import and enter the source label, merchant, market and observation date.
  2. Choose CSV, JSON or XML and upload the file or enter its contents in the available field.
  3. Request a preview and read errors by row and field.
  4. Correct source data and repeat the preview if needed.

Section 2

Review differences and approve the version

The preview separates added, removed, changed and unchanged products, so you see what changes before confirming. Importing and approving a draft are separate actions.

Filter by name or availability to find products to inspect. Read-only access does not allow import or approval. If the version changed, refresh before confirming.

  1. Read differences from the saved catalogue and check affected rows.
  2. Confirm import when the preview is valid.
  3. Review the saved draft; with management permission, use the required confirmation to approve it.

Section 3

Separate export from external publication

An approved catalogue can be downloaded in the available export formats, so every export starts from a reviewed version. A Merchant Center supplementary feed has a different purpose from the primary catalogue.

The supplementary feed excludes price and availability and does not replace the primary feed. Downloading does not itself change the store or external account. If an operation is uncertain, refresh before repeating it.

  1. Check that the export version is approved and relevant.
  2. Download CSV or JSON using the available controls.
  3. If you need the supplementary feed, read its contents and handle Merchant Center submission separately.
  4. To revoke or delete a version, read its dedicated confirmation and check the resulting status.
